Taco Bell
the taco bell in richmond (on broad st) had chili cheese burritos. it brought back memories. you know, this was really a not-so-good restaurant experience. the service was poor, the clientele was scary, and the food wasn’t the best. it makes me wonder if i run for the border out of sentimental reasons. <snif>

oh, just his sleeve? that’s ok.
As seen on Slashdot:
Frankfort, Kentucky, makes it against the law to shoot off a policeman’s tie.

l33t bloggers
i’ve been reading a lot about weblogging. you know, i think it’s interesting how people say what consists of a good journal, and what consists of a bad journal. they say that if you write, “today i had a peanut butter & jelly sandwich” in your weblog, then you’re doing something stupid and you shouldn’t be doing that. “they” seem to think that you should only write a journal if you have something important to write; some treatise on the state of affairs at your job or your school or on life in general. well i say they’re full of it. if i want to write in my journal, “today i went to the gym. now my legs hurt.” then what’s it to them? it’s *my* journal, if they find it boring, then they can just go suck an egg.
the whole point of having a journal is to record your thoughts. if this is done regularly, a couple things will begin to happen. first, you’ll be able see yourself in another light. as time goes by and you read what you wrote 6 months or a year ago, you’ll think, “man, i’m a *whiner*!” or “well, i’m glad that trial in my life is over” or whatever. you’ll learn more about yourself, and grow as a person. second, your writing style will improve. the mere act of writing brings about an improvement. it’s kinda like exercising… if you do it, you get better at it. if you run, your stamina increases, and you’re able to run further each time, as time goes on.
so to all the people out there who are not reading this journal, i have this to say: quit being elitist, arrogant snobs! yes, there are a lot of bad writers out there. yes, there are a lot of people who are only into weblogs because they’re a fad, and they fill their journals with boring, bland, and repetitive junk that no one really wants to read. whoop-de-freakin’-do! let them exercise their first amendment rights. let them get their hands dirty in the web. let them exist. no one likes a snob.
