40 Days of Fasting

Lou Engle and IHOP are calling for 40 days of fasting from [the evening of] May 28 until [the evening of] July 7. This is to come against 40 years of the spirit of Jezebel at work in America since the “Summer of Love” in 1967. I will be participating in this, and I appreciate your prayers. Please pray for grace for me specifically, and pray that God’s Spirit would move in this country. Let me know if you will be fasting, even if it’s just from TV or from desserts or whatever. I believe we should encourage each other, and I will need encouragement.
Chuck Pierce just prophesied last night at Bethel Temple that God would send an East Wind through Hampton Roads, which he and Chief Ann referred to as the Eastern Gateway. This wind would start here and would go throughout America, ushering in a new thing. The native tribes (Kecoughtan, Powhatan, others I can’t pronounce) will be drawn back to this area, and will receive healing and the anointing of Elisha. Dutch Sheets taught on this, that VA is the root of America, and as the root gets ?????????? or mended, framed, connected (Hebrews 11:3) then the entire tree will be healed.
It was such a good night last night. They’re speaking again this morning with Bishop Wellington being the primary speaker, but Raegan is tuckered out from last night. I have five pages of notes I need to get through. I’m very excited about what God is doing here. Very excited.

I would like to recieve the devotional for everyday that I am fasting that I may go into His word more… where can I find it at??

I’m not sure where there is a devotional, but I believe some of us will be reading Song of Solomon 8:6,7
and Daniel 9
everyday.
The Song of Solomon passage is so that our love for God would eclipse our love for food and that we would have a love that is worth more than all the riches on earth.
The Daniel passage helps us to recognize why we are fasting (to repent of our own sins as well as the sins of our nation) and to give us a model of how to pray while fasting.
I will pray that God will give you the grace to fast and that He will enlighten the eyes of your understanding, that you may know what is the hope of His calling.
