Job opened up
Anyone want a programming job? My boss-until-we-find-someone-to-replace-my-old-boss told me that he just got approval to hire another programmer. I think this is a bona fide thing. Before there was apparently some weird power struggle thing going on where the higher ups weren’t giving final approval to hire the person they said we could hire. But they’ve done this now.
With that said, anyone interested in working primarily with VB6 and Crystal Reports? Knowledge or interest in learning SQL Server 2000 is a good thing. In the future there may be some fun stuff with BizTalk and workflow stuff. If VB6 isn’t that interesting to you, I’m highly interested in migrating the VB6 app(s) to VB.NET…
People who sent me resumes before and are still interested, let me know. You know who you are.

Every 90 days or so we have to change our password. So then I spend then next 15 days typing in my old password and hitting enter right as I remember that I changed my password. *sigh* I’m all for password changes - that’s great. But I wish I could remember when I change them.

not feeling well
Dear Employer,
Please excuse Nathan DeWitt from work on Thursday, May 19. He is not feeling well. Nathan is at home in bed for the entire day, nursing what appears to be a serious loss of mitochondria. Nathans illness is in no way, shape or form related to the premiere of the final installment of the greatest story ever, which, coincidentally, premieres on the same date.
While I cannot confirm nor deny that Nathan has called my company, Geek Squad, asking to be set up with wireless access in case of a space opera-related sick day know that if you do receive an e-mail from your prized employee today, it is most likely because He was wise enough to plan ahead in the event of illness.
But as I mentioned before, Nathan is at home, safely in bed, but reachable (in dire emergencies) by e-mail or cell.
One more thing. Beginning at 12:02 am, Nathan DeWitt will be unreachable for about two hours, thirteen minutes and eleven seconds. He will be feeling really bad at this time.
Move along,
Robert Stephens
Geek Squad Chief Inspector

Raegan & I switched from SunCom to Cingular. We got two free tickets to Star Wars - Episode 3. We’re going to see the 12:02 showing at Regal Kiln Creek. Not the best of theaters, but it’s FREE. We have two more tickets that came with my phone, we’ll either see the movie again if it’s good or give them away if it’s not. We’ll see what happens.
Titus is very excited about the movie also.
