i’m at work. taking a break from trying to figure out this freakin’ PCL junk. in about an hour i’ll be heading to lunch. raegan is in town, and i get to have lunch with her. <big stupid grin> i’m very happy about that.

i guess i haven’t updated in a long time. been kinda busy. here’s the rundown of the past few months. started talking to a girl i’ve known for the past 12 years (middle school in Germany), she’s in florida, i’m in virginia. we’d written letters for years, and began talking again in november. she came up hereto visit last T-giving, and over the next few weeks we realized there was more there than just friendship. so basically the last few months i’ve been discovering i’ve known the love of my life for over a decade, and it’s like my eyes are being opened. good stuff.

started a bible study with a buddy of mine - we were looking at Matt 15, specifically verse 11, and have begun to look at this topic in-depth. it’s not what you eat that defiles you, it’s what comes out of your heart. and what comes out of your heart is what you put in your heart. so the stuff that defiles you is a direct result of what you put in your heart. what you see, hear, perceive. what you think about. what you dwell on. i think it’s interesting to compare this with the passages that tell me to guard my heart, and specifically what to think about. opposite of defilement is holiness. we are commanded to be holy. we are strongly urged to present ourselves as living sacrifices to God, ie - to allow Him to use us as He sees fit. a sacrifice doesn’t impose demands on the one holding the knife. kinda macabre, until you realize that He wants living sacrifices. then it’s pretty cool.

anyway, that’s what’s on my mind. oh! also, you can get tickets to London for 200 bucks! that rocks! i wanna go to europe in december, but it prolly won’t happen… gotta buy your tickets by Feb 13. hurry if you’re interested.
