why fish?

have you ever been dumped? ever been told by your friends afterward, “hey man, don’t worry about it. there are other fish in the sea“? well, apparently, they were wrong.

    hey nathan! hehe…i always wondered where that saying came from. so i did some research of my own and this is what i found:
    THERE ARE OTHER FISH IN THE SEA
    meaning…There are even better ones out there. Don’t be upset over what you’ve lost.
    -Has been traced back to about 1573.
    -First attested in the United States in ‘Keziah Coffin’ (1909) by J.C. Lincoln.
