Dear Sir,
You are not a Turkish Citizen. You do not need to worry about Military Service. It does not mean that you will become a Turkish citizen when you were born in Turkey. Your parent should be Turkish citizens to give you Turkish citizenship.
You can travel to Turkey without a problem. You can obtain your visa when you arrive to Turkey.

you know… the selection of geek t-shirts seems to be lacking. it’s kinda sad. i mean, i like wearing t-shirts, and you’d think there’d be tons out there on the internet to choose from. but there’s not a lot of selection. thinkgeek.com probably has the best looking ones… why aren’t there more high-quality t-shirt places out there? what’s up with that?

i want to visit turkey & greece with some friends in a year or so. the problem i have is this:

Male U.S. citizens over the age of 18 who are also considered to be Turkish citizens may be subject to conscription and compulsory military service upon arrival, and to other aspects of Turkish law while in Turkey. Those who may be affected are strongly advised to consult with Turkish officials and inquire at a Turkish embassy or consulate to determine their status before traveling. In addition to being subject to all Turkish laws affecting U.S. citizens, dual nationals may also be subject to other laws that impose special obligations on Turkish citizens.

for those of you that didn’t know, i was born in turkey. i would hate to go over there and then find out they wanted me to serve in the army or something. so anyway, i’m going to try to get that resolved.

i met this dude on tuesday. he said that God was telling him someone was putting off something they were supposed to be doing. i think that person was me. i think it’s interesting that a couple of posts ago i was talking about not “using my voice” to say something… i was kind of shying away from the things i used to do. i think i’ve been on the verge of something for a while, but haven’t taken that step to claim it.

on the other hand, hot tamales are sold in 5 lb bags in sam’s club. fyi.

it’s raining. i’m going to vacuum my house. maybe even go to wal-mart and get some cleaning materials and do the whole shebang. probably not. i need to do laundry. i also need to write some code. why are fridays like this?
