today is the first day of the rest of my life. this is a trite statement, but today it is true for me. i will not live without purpose. i will not do things half-heartedly. “Today if you will hear My voice, harden not your heart.” i am a new man.

“Take every thought captive…” I need to do this continually. this requires me to be in a constant state of prayer, always setting my mind on things above. What an active state this puts me in, constantly examining my thoughts! wow… idleness in the mind has no place in a disciplined Man of God.
